Stockholm, the city of walks and parcs...

Just got back from Stockholm... We got no problems at all with the flights, so that's a releaf !
Stockholm is, at first sight, not my favorite city. But after walking around a couple days I found several positiv aspects in this town.

Maybe it was the weather the first days that bummed me... It was cold and rainy, cloudy and windy...
But on Saturday everything turned another colour !! 24°C and sun, sun, sun !!

Stockholm is a city build on 14 different islands, all connected with bridges. Around every island you have walking zones next to the water with parcs, bars, restaurants and lazy seats to enjoy the view...
You can bike, jog, walk miles and miles and never leave the town...!
It's  very enjoyable place when the weather is good. We also found a little beach on Längsholmen Island where you can swim (if your not afraid of cold water) or just enjoy a picnic...

The city in general has a lot of museums, but as we aren't museum freaks we just visited 2 of them :
Skansen and the Vasamuseum. Both 10€ entrance but worth it !
Skansen is an open air museum and parc where you will find typical houses and animals from Scandinavia.
The Vasamuseum is a ship. This ship was lying on the bottom of the baltic sea for nearly 400 years !!

All this activities are also perfect with children !! Stockholm is an ideal place for family's. You have also the Junibacken museum with all the tales from Astrid Lindgren !! Dress up you kids like Pippi Longstocking... I garanty you a funny moment...

If you have any questions about the city do not hesitate to contact me. The pictures of this weekend will come shortly...

Hej !!! As they say in Sweden !!
